Building peace is a complex process that cannot be achieved through internet alone : irenees.net intends to be a tool that helps to translate ideas into action. Its mission is to make available know-how about peace-building at the service of the implementation of common initiatives. In other words, it aims to bring together people through this online tool, to form a network and to create synergy between those who work effectively in favor of peace.
The objective of development a peace database has therefore been pursued simultaneously with the organization of workshops bringing together peacebuilders in different countries focusing on regional challenges to peace and specific conflicts. This initiative has lead to the identification of key regional actors and created the opportunity for them to confront ideas and share experiences.
